- The Smyrna High School field hockey team won their second game of the season overcoming Sussex Central at home Friday by a score of 1-0. Junior Stacey Staley scored the lone goal of the game at 12:51 in the first half off an assist by senior Shannon Strosser. Senior goalkeepers Morgan Jewell and Ariel Bilbrough combined for 6 saves to give the 2-3 Eagles the win.
