The committee is a group of appointed citizens who meet every other month to discuss transportation plans and issues in central Delaware while lending the community’s point of view of these topics.
Committee members are considering a list of 20-year transportation needs for the region. Most of the projects are for road upgrades, such as ensuring travel lanes on roads are wide enough, that they have shoulders and either sidewalks and bike paths or other transit opportunities. The plan also calls for reassessment of passenger rail feasibility.
