Asbury United Methodist Church in Smyrna will hold its 50th Anniversary Holiday Bazaar on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8 in the Fellowship Hall of the church, located on West Mt. Vernon Street in Smyrna.


    Asbury United Methodist Church in Smyrna will hold its 50th Anniversary Holiday Bazaar on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8 in the Fellowship Hall of the church, located on West Mt. Vernon Street in Smyrna. 
    The bazaar opens at 10 a.m. and runs until 8 p.m. on Friday, and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday.
    Lunch will be served both days from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., and dinner will be served on Friday evening  from 4:30 until 7 p.m.
    The bazaar, started in 1958 with an old country store theme, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. There will be a Christmas table, a white elephant table, plants, knives, homemade jellies and jams, homemade cookies, candy, pies and cakes, a children's table, nuts, plants, and crafts.
    Featured culinary delights include Asbury crab cakes, soups, homemade ice cream, chicken salad, and dumplings. No dumplings will be sold by the quart, but will be available for your
dining pleasure.
    Funds raised by the bazaar will fund mission projects in the local community, youth groups, and needs at Asbury. 
    Parking is available in the lot behind the church off Delaware Street.
