  • Hayle Renee Pierson of Woodland Beach died peacefully at home Friday, July 31, 2009. She was 17. Services will be Monday, August 3 at 6 p.m., in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street, Smyrna. A viewing will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Burial will be private.

  •     Hayle Renee Pierson of Woodland Beach died peacefully at home Friday, July 31, 2009. She was 17.
        Hayle was born January 30, 1992 in Bethesda, Maryland, the daughter of Nila J. Pierson.
        Hayle liked looking at bright colors, listening to music, and enjoyed hearing others children laughter.
        She was especially fond of her grandfather, whom she loved very much, Richard F. Daggy, whom she lived with along with her grandmother, Frances E. Daggy.
        In addition to her mother and grandparents, she is survived by grandparents David and Sara Pierson of Clayton, North Carolina; her aunt, Christina A. Kiburz and her husband Ted of Hartly; three great aunts,  Natalie, Sherry, and Theresa; and several cousins.
        Services will be Monday, August 3 at 6 p.m., in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street, Smyrna. A viewing will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
        The family would like to offer a special thank you to all of the VNA Nurses, Dr. Rubacky and staff, and AI DuPont Children’s Hospital for providing her with wonderful care and for all they did for Hayle during her life.
        In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in her memory to Make-A-Wish-Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc., 10920 Connecticut Ave. Suite 1600, Kensington, MD 20895.
