Special category
with $50 prize
The Smyrna Downtown Renaissance Association is sponsoring a $50 prize to the winner of a special category, “Historic Smyrna,” for photos of buildings, homes, or street scenes with or without people in the historic district of Smyrna. The winner and runner-up in this category will also be printed in the Sun-Times.
Contest rules
Only prints will be accepted because the photos in each category will be judged together on a table. If you took digital shots, please print them.
Only two photos per person per category will be allowed.
Photos must have been taken between August 2008 and August 2009.
On the back of each photo, write the photographer’s name, age, phone number, town he/she lives in or near, the category, and a brief description of what’s in the photo.
Drop off or mail your photos to the Sun-Times office, 224 E. Glenwood Avenue, Smyrna, DE 19977. Our office is in the Smyrna Mart shopping center near Acme and Domino’s Pizza.
The deadline is Thursday, September 3 at 5 p.m.
Note: Please do not enter one-of-a-kind photos for which you don’t have a back-up copy or negative. We will try our best not to damage the photos, but it is possible they could get bent or scratched by a paper clip.
