State police are looking for two men they say robbed a restaurant owner and one of his employees Monday night.

Police say the 52-year-old owner and a 36-year-old employee had just closed the Goodfellas Italian Restaurant on Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, and were walking to their cars when two masked men wearing hooded jackets demanded money from the victims. Police say the business owner refused to comply and shoved one of the robbers. The second robber, who was armed with a knife, approached the younger victim who was sitting in a car and stole a cell phone from him.

The restaurant owner then jumped in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and fled the scene, according to police. The robbers took off in an unknown direction.

Neither victim was injured.

There is no surveillance video in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call the Troop 2 Robbery Squad at 302-834-2630 ext. 6 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
