Daybreak United Methodist Church is celebrating the grand opening of its new meeting place on Easter Sunday, April 4 with KidZone at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to check out the church's new home and celebrate Easter.

The new meeting place, 100C E. Glenwood Avenue, is in the Smyrna Mart Shopping Center near Acme.

“Daybreak is moving in order to more effectively serve people in the community,” said Jim Hawkins, Daybreak’s pastor.

The church had been meeting at the Mamie Warren Senior Center since the summer of 2008.

“The staff and members of the Mamie Warren Center were terrific to work with,” Hawkins said. “But the downside for the church was meeting there was very limiting. We look forward to being able to respond quickly to new ideas and new opportunities. People can find us easily in our new home. Plus we don’t have to set up and tear down every week.”

Daybreak is known for inspiring worship, relevant messages and life-changing ministries.
