Smyrna-Clayton Little League will be hosting the Aquafina Pitch, Hit & Run competition on Sunday, April 25,from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free competition is open to boys and girls ages 7-14.


Smyrna-Clayton Little League will be hosting the Aquafina Pitch, Hit & Run competition on Sunday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Competitors may come to the Little League Park on Duck Creek Parkway near Smyrna High School anytime during those hours to compete. The skills competition should take about 20 minutes for each participant.

This program is completely free.

New for 2010 – Girls and boys are now competing separately and will be awarded and advance through all four levels of the competition in separate divisions. Smyrna-Clayton Little League has decided to offer the girls softball competition as well as the baseball division.

Players must be ages 7-14 as of July 17, 2010. A copy of their birth certificate must be present to verify age.

Age groups are 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.

First place winners in each category per age group will advance to the sectional level as will the all-around champion in each age group. The last three years sectionals have been sent to the Wilmington Blue Rocks Stadium to compete mid-May to early June.

Team Championship competitions the last two years have been at the Washington Nationals Stadium in June.

National finals will be at the 2010 MLB All-Star Game in Anaheim, California July 11-13.
