Howard “Ricky” Foraker, 59, of Marydel, Del. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at home with his loving family by his side.


Howard “Ricky” Foraker, 59, of Marydel, Del. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at home with his loving family by his side.

Born on February 27, 1951 in Wilmington, Del., he was the son of the late Pearl and Elwood E. Foraker Sr.

Ricky’s favorite pastimes were going to Easter Seals, bowling, watching "The Wizard of Oz," "King Kong" and "Mighty Joe Young." He was the most wonderful and loving uncle, brother and son any family could have ever wished for.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Elwood “Tommy” and Randolff “Reds” Foraker.

He is survived by four sisters, Pauline Cahall, Dolores Budd and her husband Howard, Louise Pacelt and her husband Fred, and Irene Coleman; a brother, Clarence Foraker and his wife Inga, and a great host of nieces and nephews including Howard and Peggy Coleman with whom he lived and was cared for during the past 23 years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 11 a.m., at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, Del., where family and friends may visit from 7-9 p.m., on Monday evening, Sept. 20, and from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday. Ricky will be laid to rest with his parents in Townsend Cemetery.
