Comedy show Saturday features national and regional performers

Kelly Terranova, “The World’s only vegetarian NASCAR fan,” is headlining a power-packed slate of professional stand-up comedians at the Clayton Fire Company’s “Comedy Show” on Saturday, Sept. 25.

Kelly is a national touring artist who has performed at over 500 venues. His fast paced, high energy act takes his audience on a no holds barred look a variety of sporting events ranging from figure skating to NASCAR.

Kelly’s blue collar humor has been featured on CMT’s hilarious “Comedy Stage,” and his long list of credits include being chosen a finalist at Funny Bones “World Series of Comedy,” and Carnival Cruise Line’s “Las Vegas Comedy Challenge.” Kelly has worked with such show business greats as Michael Bolton, The Doobie Brothers, and Bret Butler.

When his booking agent was contacted in “Vegas,” he asked, “Where the hell is Clayton, Delaware?”

Julie Fox, comedy festival winner

You’ve seen her on TV, now you can see her perform live at the Clayton Fire Company “Comedy Show.”

More than just a pretty face, Julie Fox is one of the funniest stand-up comics in the business. She’s a regular at top clubs all over Maryland and Washington, D.C., and she won the first ever Ram’s Head “Sit Down for Stand Up” comedy festival in Annapolis. Julie was also a top ranked regional finalist on Nick-At-Nite’s third season of “Funniest Mom in America.” So ladies, plan a fun-filled “girls night out,” and enjoy the laughs.

The ‘wonder-ful’ Jared Stern

Jared Stern marches to a different drum, and sees the world a little differently than most of us. Maybe that’s why his view of life is a bit more “colorful” – like looking through 3-D glasses. Jared has worked with top ranked comedians Jeff Ross, Richard Lewis, and Bobby Slayton.

He’ll be sharing his observations about “crazy stuff we all wonder about” at Saturday’s event.

The evening starts with “Happy Hour” at 8 p.m., then the comedy show at 9 p.m., followed by dancing until midnight.
