The Smyrna School District will hold a public meeting Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m., about the feeder pattern for the new Clayton Intermediate School for fifth and sixth graders, scheduled to open in August 2012. The elementary feeder zones will also be discussed and modifications recommended to take effect for the start of the 2011-12 school year.


The Smyrna School District will hold a public meeting Wednesday, Oct. 20 about the feeder pattern for the new Clayton Intermediate School that is scheduled to open in August 2012, for the 2012-13 school year. The school will be for fifth and sixth graders.

The elementary feeder zones will also be discussed and modifications recommended to take effect for the start of the 2011-12 school year.

The meeting will be held Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m., in the multi-purpose room at North Smyrna Elementary School on North Main Street in Smyrna.

Citizens may present written or oral comments on the matter.

Written communication may be presented to the school board if seven copies are addressed to the board, five for board members, one for the superintendent, and one for the record.

Citizens who wish to make oral comments must state their names, limit their remarks to five minutes, and focus their comments on the topic of the meeting.
