Dorothy M. Angell Kennedy, of Smyrna, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010. She was 91.


Dorothy M. Angell Kennedy, of Smyrna, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010. She was 91.

She was born in Douglas, Wyoming, the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Rebar. She moved to Milton, Pa., as a young girl and moved to Delaware in the 1950s.

She was formerly employed at General Clothing, Smyrna, for 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, John Angell, and Loren Kennedy; and by three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by a son Claude Angell and his wife Dorothy, of Smyrna; three grandchildren, Chip Angell and his companion Sarah Whiteman, of Elkton, Md.; Dana Brown and her fiancée Frank Ford, of Wyoming, Del.; and John Angell, of Smyrna; four great-grandchildren, Clara, Gwen, and Claudia Angell, and Emily Ford; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday, Nov. 1 at noon at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
