The 7th Annual Miles for Minutes motorcycle ride will go from The Delaware Army National Guard River Road (Rt.9 facility) and end at Mike’s Famous Harley Davidson in Smyrna on Saturday, June 18.

The 7th Annual Miles for Minutes motorcycle ride will once again hit close to home this year as the ride will go from The Delaware Army National Guard River Road (Rt.9 facility) and end at Mike’s Famous Harley Davidson in Smyrna on Saturday, June 18.

The ride, which is a police escorted ride, raises money for USO Delaware. The registration fee this year is $20 for the bike, $10 for a passenger.  In addition to the ride there will once again be a bike show. Entry fee for the show is $5 per bike. Trophies will be awarded for the top 3 bikes in each category.

For 7 years Clear Channel Delaware has organized the ride to raise money to purchase phone cards for the troops. Over the past five years the ride has raised nearly $90,000.

It’s a truly humbling experience to be among 600 riders and know that each one of these individuals is making it possible for our troops to call home to talk with their loved ones says Sky Phillips (Operations Manger, Morning Show Host on 94.7 WDSD and avid Harley rider). USO Delaware Director Joan Cote, will be leading the hundreds of bikers along with Clear Channel Staff on their motorcycles.
