Charlie R. Moseley, 64, of Clayton, DE passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE.
Born on Sept. 23, 1947 in Warrenton, NC, he was the son of the late Willie Amos and Hattie Rogers (King) Moseley.
Charlie was a career long haul tractor trailer transporter who was dedicated to the safety of his profession. He loved his work and his wife, who he met while passing through Delaware. When Charlie wasn’t driving across country for work, he enjoyed traveling with his wife. Together they loved camping and vacationing. He was a dedicated husband, who took great pride in providing for his wife.
Charlie was a loving and kind individual who had a special way of touching the lives of many. He will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know him.
He leaves many fond memories to his loving wife, Mary Lou Newsom; a son, Richard Moseley; step-son, William A. Newsom; two grandchildren; his two loving dogs, Rascal and Blackie and two special cats, Samantha and Charlie’s Angel, as well as by many dear family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may visit with his family one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery in Middletown.
