  • Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge near Smyrna is hosting Volunteer Orientation this Saturday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the refuge auditorium.
    Information will be available on volunteer opportunities at the refuge, and then participants will be able to take a tour of the refuge.
    Volunteers are needed to staff the Visitor Center and operate the store at the refuge. Opportunites are also available to provide environmental education programs for school groups, conduct refuge tours, provide trail and landscaping maintenance, and help with highway cleanups.

    Bombay Hook is located at 2591 Whitehall Neck Road, about five miles southeast of Smyrna, east of Route 9.
