Mary Ann Price, of Smyrna, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 68.
She was born May 30, 1943 in New York City, the daughter of the late William D. and Genevieve Kober. Mary Ann was a 1961 graduate of Center Moriches High School, Center Moriches, New York and a 1964 graduate of St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in New York City. She worked as an RN on Long Island until moving to Delaware where she continued her nursing career, working at Kent Convalescent Center, Delaware Correctional Center, and the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, all of Smyrna.
Her greatest loves were her family, her nursing career, and animals. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family, her patients and her four-legged furry friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed horseback riding, ceramics, flower gardening, photography, and travelling, especially to Ireland.
She is survived by her loving husband, David I. Price Jr.; daughter, Suzanne D. Snyder, of Smyrna; son, David M. Snyder, of Ellenton, FL; daughter, Karyn M. Carrow and her husband Ben, of Kenton; son, Kevin R. Price, of Smyrna; granddaughter Bridget M. Carrow, of Kenton; brother, William D. Kober and his wife Edna, of Dover; and many other special family and friends.
Friends may gather to visit with her family from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 2 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna.
