    Boys Tennis
    The Smyrna High boys tennis team lost to Polytech High School at home on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 4-1.
    First singles Thomas Clark lost 7-6(7-2), 6-3. Second singles Tugraberk Usul lost 6-0, 6-1. Third singles Hakeem Nabi lost 6-0, 6-0. First doubles Ryan Kaczorowski and Austin Flowers lost 6-3, 5-7, 6-1. Second singles Josh Allison and Cody Cummings won 6-4, 6-4.
    The next match for the team is today, March 5 at Milford High School.
    The team is 2-3 on the season.
    Girls Tennis
    The Smyrna High girls tennis team beat Polytech 5-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
    First singles Sarah Koehler won 7-6(9-7), 4-6, 10-8(10 point tiebreaker for the third set). Second singles Rachel Blair won 6-2, 6-1. Third singles Katherine Clark won 2-6, 7-6(7-1), 10-8 (10 point tiebreaker for third set). First doubles Courtney Walley/Louisa Rusch won 6-0, 6-0. Second doubles Katelynn Morgan/Gabby Pope won 6-0, 6-0.
    The next match for the team is today, March 5 home versus Milford High School. The match starts at 4 p.m.
    The team is 4-1 on the season.
    Girls Soccer
    The Smyrna High girls soccer team lost 1-0 to Sussex Tech in overtime on Tuesday. Smyrna goalie Kayla Kennedy had seven saves on the day.
    The Eagles are 2-1 on the season. Their next game is today, March 5 versus Cape Henlopen at home. The game starts at 7 p.m.
    Softball
    The Smyrna High softball team beat Dover 24-0 on Monday.
    The Eagles belted out 23 hits, 8 of which were doubles, in their win over Dover. Smyrna's Natalie Brooks went 4-for-5 with 3 doubes, scoring 3 runs. Jordan Whitley was 6-for-6 while Paige Morris went 4-for-6 with 2 doubles. Sydney Botsch was the winning pitcher, improving to 4-0 on the season.
    The next game for the Eagles is today, March 5 at home versus Delmar High School. The game starts at 4:15 p.m.
    The softball team is 4-0 on the season.
    Baseball
    The Smyrna High baseball team lost to Dover 4-2 on Monday at Dover High School. Dylan voss hit a two-run homerun for Smyrna.
    The Eagles are 3-2 on the season.
    The next game is today, March 5 at home versus Delmar High School. The game starts at 4:15 p.m.
    Boys Track & Field
    The Smyrna High boys track and field team beat Indian River 90-56 on Tuesday afternoon.
    Smyrna's 3200 relay team of Sanchez, Stypinski, Norris and Frances won with a time of 9:14. Smyrna's Minor won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 19.2-seconds. The 800 relay team of Scott, Sudler, Carlton Nash, and Kyren Nash won with a time of 1:35.63. The 400 relay team of Scott, Peacock, Carlton Nash, and Cameron Nash won with a time of 46.02. Francis won the 400-meter race with a time of 53.91. Stewart won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 46.92. Pritt won the 800-meter race with a time of 2:18.1. Smyrna's 1600-meter relay team of Pritt, Francis, Carlton Nash, and French won with a time of 3:39.63. Stephens won the shot put with a distance of 38'7". Valez won discus with a distance of 115'6.5". French won pole vault with a height of 10'6".

    Girls Track & Field
    The Smyrna High girls track and field team beat Indian River 103-39 on Tuesday afternoon.
    The Smyrna 3200 relay team of Warner, Vickers, Hernandez and Cooper won with a time of 12:08. Morris won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 12.1 seconds.  Vickers won the 1600-meter race with a time of 5:43.3. Hilliard won the 400-meter race with a time of 1:03.0. Smith won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 54.4. Warner won the 800-meter rance with a time of 2:51.7 Vickers won the 3200-meter race with a time of 12:36.9. The 1600 relay team of Hilliard, Rider, Warner and Johnson won with a time of 4:39.9. Baker won shot put with a distance of 25'4.5". Raven Luckett won the long jump with a distance of 16'1", the triple jump with a distance of 35'1" and the high jump with a height of 4'8". Jones won pole vault with a distance of 5'6".
    Luckett was the high scorer with 18 points on the day.
    The team is 2-2 on the season. Their next meet is Saturday, April 7 at the Keith Burgess Invitiational held at Lake Forest High School. The meet starts at 11 a.m.
    Lacrosse
    The lacrosse team lost to Milford 8-4 Wednesday afternoon, falling to 1-4 on the season.
    Scoring goals for the Eagles were Knute Brewer, Andrew Gilbert, Jordan Kiger and Luke Russillo. Phil Abramson had two assists while Kiger had one. Colin Hoveln had six saves on the day.
    The next game for the team is Saturday, April 11 at home versus Wilmington Christian School. The game will be at 11 a.m.
