The Department of Pastoral Care at the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill in Smyrna will host this year’s Community Good Friday Service on April 6 at 12 noon, sponsored by the Smyrna-Clayton Ministerium.
The service will be held in the Candee Building auditorium on the west side of the hospital on Sunnyside Road, just west of Route 13. Signs will be posted.
The featured speaker will be Rev. Denise Founds, the associate pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church in Smyrna.
The Smyrna-Clayton Ministerium invites the community to attend and participate in this Holy Service.
The Ministerium sponsors the Community Food Pantry and emergency assistance for those in need in the Smyrna-Clayton area, including help with electric and heating bills. Donations to the Ministerium will be accepted at the service or can be mailed to Smyrna-Clayton Ministerium, 118 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, DE 19977.
