  • The Smyrna High School softball team lost their first game of the season Thursday afternoon losing 12-4 to Delmar.
    The Eagles record fell to 4-1 on the season.
    Sydney Botsch (4-1) was the losing pitcher for Smyrna. Pitcher Ariel Bilbrough came in to relieve Botsch and allowed only one hit and no runs in 2.5 inningof pitching.
    Smyrna's Paige Morris went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs. Emith Smith also went 3-for-4.
    The next game for the Eagles is at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 versus Sussex Tech at home.
