  • Acclaimed Southern Gospel group The Needhams will present a concert at the Kenton United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 2 at 6 p.m. The community is invited. The church is located at 74 W. Commerce St. (Route 42), Kenton.
The Needhams have toured since 1997, sharing the Gospel with their own unique sound. Audiences across the nation have discovered The Needhams offer a broad spectrum of musical talents, with three generations on stage. Group members peform as vocalists and instrumentalists. Original songwriting and unique arrangements of familiar, beloved tunes range from acoustic to energetically progressive.
The group has performed at venues such as the Opryland Hotel, the Gibson Bluegrass Showcase, and the Stardust Theatre in Nashville, TN; the main stage of Freedom Hall for the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY, and the Bill Monroe Bluegrass Festival in Bean Blossom, IN. The Needhams have also appeared on television with the likes of Jerry Johnston and First Family Church of Overland Park, KS, and they are scheduled to shoot an upcoming episode of Great American Gospel hosted by Gospel music legend Ed O’Neal.
The concert is free, but a love offering will be collected to help support The Needhams’ ministry.
