  • The second annual Clayton Railroad Days Festival was a hit on Saturday as Railroad Avenue in front of the Clayton Firehouse was packed with families and residents checking out the various booths, demonstrations and food vendors.
The day started with a parade down Main Street to commemorate the town's 125th anniversary. The parade featured fire trucks, the Citizens' Hose Company Band, and local state officials.
Then the rest of the day was filled with blacksmith demonstrations, a dunking booth, train rides from Lil' Toot and more.
During the opening ceremonies, the town was congratulated on it's 125th anniversary from the likes of Kent County Levy Court President and former Clayton mayor P. Brooks Banta, State Rep. Quinton Johnson, and State Rep. William Carson.
