William Talmage Cox of Clayton, DE, passed away at Seaford Center in Seaford, DE on Monday, August 20, 2012. He was 78.
Mr. Cox was born July 17, 1934 in West Virginia, the son of the late Thorton D. Cox and Alma Mae Cox.
He most recently worked for the DuPont Company before retiring. Prior to that, he worked in the hardwood floor industry for many years.
Talmage enjoyed spending time with his family, playing music, hunting, and renovating his school house in West Virginia, which he purchased for vacationing in the mountains of West Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha, Laura Belle, and Ramona.
He is survived by his son, William A. Cox, his wife, Teresa, and their two sons, Will and Anthony, all of Camden, DE; and seven siblings, Iris Fay, Jonah, Bobby, Danny, Betty, Jeannie, and Brenda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing was held on Friday, August 24 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Funeral services began at 11 a.m.
Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
