  • Witney's Lights will host its fourth annual 5K Walk/Run to End Domestic Violence Oct. 6 at Silver Lake Park, 149 Hazel Road, Dover.

  • Witney's Lights will host its fourth annual 5K Walk/Run to End Domestic Violence Oct. 6 at Silver Lake Park, 149 Hazel Road, Dover.
    Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the walk/5K run will start at 10 a.m. followed by the awards ceremony at 11:15 a.m. Participants will have the option to walk or run to raise funds and awareness for the domestic violence cause.
    Witney's Lights is named after the late Dr. Witney Holland Rose, a University of Maryland psychiatrist who was a victim of domestic violence homicide at the hands of her ex-boyfriend in 2003. Witney's Lights was founded by Mrs. Quincy Lucas, who has dedicated her life to raising public awareness about the issue of domestic violence.
