A motor vehicle crash with entrapment occurred today near Greenville.
New Castle County paramedics responded to the 200 block of West Rockland Road near Greenville for the report of a motor vehicle crash with entrapment.
At that location they found that a car had collided head-on with a mini-van. The three occupants of the car were trapped in that vehicle and extricated by personnel from the Talleyville Fire Company.
The 20-year-old female driver of the car was trapped for approximately 20 minutes. New Castle County paramedics treated her for leg, head and possible internal injuries during transport to Christiana Hospital. She was admitted in serious condition. The 21-year-old male front-seat passenger was also trapped for approximately 20 minutes. He sustained head, extremity and possible internal injuries. New Castle County paramedics treated him during transport to Christiana Hospital. He was admitted in serious condition. The 19-year-old female rear passenger was trapped in the car for approximately 30 minutes. She sustained head, leg and internal injuries. She was treated on scene by New Castle County paramedics and flown by Delaware State Police helicopter to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.
The two occupants of the van, an approximately 40-year-old male and an approximately 4-year-old male, were transported to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.
