  • The DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife is looking for volunteers to help with an upcoming invasive plant "weed out" from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 27 at Woodland Beach Wildlife Area, 4876 Hay Point Landing Road, Smyrna.

  • The DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife is looking for volunteers to help with an upcoming invasive plant "weed out" from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 27 at Woodland Beach Wildlife Area, 4876 Hay Point Landing Road, Smyrna.
    Wineberry is an invasive plant that is covering and pushing out native plants in wildlife habitat at the Woodland Beach Wildlife Area.
    Work gloves will be provided, but volunteers may also bring their own. Volunteers for this project must be at least 15 years old. Participants under the age of 18 must provide a parental consent form, which can be found by visiting, www.fw.delaware.gov/volunteers. For more information, call (302) 735-3600.
