  • The Middletown Transcript will be hosting a candidate forum Oct. 18 at the M.O.T. Senior Center featuring candidates seeking state and county offices.

  • The Middletown Transcript will be hosting a candidate forum Thursday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. at the M.O.T. Senior Center.
    All are welcome to attend.
    Local candidates running for state and county offices in the southern New Castle County area will be present discussing their stands on issues that our communities are facing.
    Questions can be submitted in advance by emailing Executive Editor Jesse Chadderdon at jesse.chadderdon@doverpost.com. Please include your name, hometown, and contact information if you submit a question.
    Those who will be intending include 8th District House of Representative candidates Quinn Johnson (D- Middletown) and his opponent, Republican Matt Brown, of Middletown, Lynne Newlin, and Bruce Ennis.
    County Executive candidate, Republican Mark Blake, will be addressing the crowd in a town hall style format since his opponent Tom Gordon declined his invitation.
    County Council President candidates Democrat Chris Bullock and Republican Mike Protack will also be attending and will debate the issues facing New Castle County as a whole.
    The M.O.T. Senior Center is located at 300 South Street in Middletown.
