Market Street Plaza in front of Smyrna Town Hall will be jam packed with things to do Saturday as there will be a Holiday Farmers Market, children's activities, caroling and more for families to enjoy — including a visit from Santa.

1. Holiday Market. The Smyrna Farmers Market inaugural season ended Oct. 27, but there will be a special Holiday Market starting at noon Saturday featuring holiday items and Christmas decorations. One group on hand for the market will be the Duck Creek Horticultural Society selling fresh live wreaths and roping.

2. Children's activities. Don't go far after the market is over as there will be various activities for children including Christmas stories and snacks starting at 3 p.m. in front of town hall.

3. That Christmas feeling. To cap the afternoon off, there will be caroling, a tree lighting and a visit from Santa at 5 p.m. Children will also be able to have a one-on-one visit with Santa at the Plank House behind the Smyrna Museum at 11 S. Main St.

With Thanksgiving over, what better way to get into the holiday spirit than to bring the family to downtown Smyrna to buy some local goods, play some games and sing some Christmas songs.
