The Smyrna High School junior varsity boys basketball team defeated St. Elizabeth last night 53-28.

The Eagles were a tad bit rusty as a result of the winter break leading just 18-14 going into the half, but the rust wore off by the second half with Smyrna winning 53-28.

The Eagles JV team is now 7-0 on the season.

Smyrna was led by Latrelle Lee with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist with the help of Greg Duggans with 10 points and Boaz Menard with 10 points.

Next up for the Eagles is an away game Friday, Jan. 11 at Dover High School at 6 p.m.
