  • Smyrna Police looking for Claymont man for incident involving gun

  • Smyrna Police responded Monday at approximately 12:48 a.m. to the unit block of Chestnut Street in reference to a report of shots fired.
    An investigation revealed that a fight had occurred and during the fight a gun was displayed and discharged, police said. The projectile did not strike anyone and all subjects fled the area.
    Smyrna Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Gordon E. Rogers Jr., 25, of Claymont, in connection to the incident.
    Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Rogers is urged to contact police and to not attempt to apprehend Rogers on their own as he should be considered armed and dangerous.
