  • Smyrna Police investigation nets 8 arrests in drug bust

  • Smyrna Police executed a search warrant Tuesday in the early morning hours at 438 Laredo Drive in Smyrna. The search warrant was obtained following a lengthy investigation into illegal drug sales from that residence.
    During the search police recovered 43 bags of suspected heroin, 7.5 grams of suspected cocaine, .2 grams of suspected "crack" cocaine, prescription pills and assorted pieces of drug paraphernalia including syringes, police said.
    All subjects were charged with four counts each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. All subjects were presented via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court No. 2.
    Susan Richardson, 53, of Smyrna, was additionally charged with maintaining a drug property and was released on a $7,600 unsecured bond.
    Eric Richardson, 24, of Smyrna, was released on a $4,600 unsecured bond.
    Josh Jenkins, 26, of Smyrna, was committed in default of a $4,600 secured bond for the new charges and a $6,100 secured bond for a capias.
    Jeremy Jewell, 18, of Smyrna, was released on a $4,600 unsecured bond.
    Michael McBride, 21, of Smyrna, was committed on a $4,600 secured bond and was wanted by Probation and Parole.
    Elizabeth Lagemann, 18, of Smyrna, was released on a $4,600 unsecured bond.
    Britney Watts, 22, of Smyrna, was released on a $4,600 unsecured and 4,500 unsecured bond for a capias.
    Ronald Miles Jr., 18,of Smyrna, was released on a $4,600 unsecured bond.
