  • UPDATE: Claymont man turns self in for gun incident

  • Gordon E. Rogers, 25, of Claymont, turned himself in to the Smyrna Police Department Jan. 22 in reference to charges stemming from an investigation into a Jan. 7 shots fired complaint on Chestnut Street.
    Police said Rogers was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, reckless endangering first degree, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and offensive touching.
    Rogers was presented at Justice of the Peace Court No. 2 via videophone and released on a $20,500 unsecured bond pending a later court appearance.
