  • The Smyrna High School JV boys basketball team improves to 11-1 on the season after last night's 49-40 win over Polytech.
The game had it's issues though as Coach Dontay Black said the fire alarm went off at Polytech towards the end of the first quarter, which forced everyone to leave the building and delayed the game for 20 to 30 minutes.
The Eagles were led by Greg Duggans, Latrelle Lee and Donte Ritchie with 10 points. Ritchie also had 9 rebounds in the game.
Next up for the 11-1 Eagles is a home game Friday against Dover. Smyrna suffered their lone loss of the season thus far against Dover earlier this season by a score of 74-66.
The game starts at 6 p.m.
