The Smyrna High School JV boys basketball avenged their lone loss to Dover earlier this season by defeating Dover 61-47 Friday in their second match-up of the season.
Smyrna led 33-12 at the half, but the Eagles were focused and were not going to make the same mistake of letting Dover stage a comeback like Smyrna did in their first meeting this season.
The Eagles were led by Latrelle Lee with 14 points and 7 rebounds and was followed by Donte Ritchie with 9 points and 6 rebounds. Timer Garnett and Greg Duggans contributed 9 points each.
The win improved the Eagles record to 12-1 on the season.
Next up for Smyrna is another home game Tuesday, Feb. 5 vs. Milford at 6 p.m.
