  • Smyrna JV boys basketball dominates Sussex Central in 61-36 win

  • The Smyrna High School JV boys basketball team defeated Sussex Central Wednesday night 61-36 in the Eagles last home game of the season.
    Leading the way for Smyrna was freshman Victor Crews, who was recently called up to JV from the freshman team, with 12 points and 3 steals.
    Also contributing to the Eagles win were Donte Ritchie with 11 points, Jameir Sudler with 8 points, Timer Garnett with 8 points, and Vincent Jubilee with 6 points and 8 rebounds.
    Coach Dontay Black said the win was a great team effort from everyone on the floor.
    The 17-1 Eagles only have two games left in the season, both of which will be away. The team will play at CR Friday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. and at Sussex Tech Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m.
