Smyrna Town Council will meet for their second council meeting of the month Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers at town hall.
The meeting was moved from Monday to Tuesday in observance of President's Day Feb. 18.
There are several items under Old and New Business. The agenda is as follows:
*Discussion and vote on lighting for Carter Road from Sunnyside Road to Route 13
*Consideration and vote re: Smyrna-Clayton Little League team sponsorship
*Swearing-in of Election Board members
*Approval for the Smyrna-Clayton Rotary Club to close Market Street Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
*Update and discussion of Bombay Woods Maintenance Corporation
*Discussion and appointment of Robert Newnam, Temple Carter, George Wright, Robin Bruner, and Jim Veit to the Compensation Committee
*Discussion and possible decision on Town acting as a conduit for and/or being involved with monies raised by private organizations
*Executive session for the purposes of (a) discussing personnel matters involving non-union employee(s) in which the names, competency and abilities of individual employee(s) will be discussed; and (b) holding a strategy session for collective bargaining where an open meeting would have an adverse effect on the bargaining position of the town
*Possible action on the items discussed in executive session
