Firefly Festival organizers have released the names of the bands and musicians that will perform this year. More than fifty bands are scheduled to appear.

The Firefly Festival 2013 line-up has been released by Red Frog Events, the festival organizer. Seventy-one acts will perform at this year's festival, which takes place Friday, June 21 through Sunday, June. 23, officially kicking off summer with a rock n' roll bang.

Headliners for this year's festival include Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Other big names include Foster The People, The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers, Alabama Shakes, Vampire Weekend and hip-hop legend Public Enemy.

Imagine Dragons is the only band listed in the line-up that performed at last year's festival. Passion Pit, who was originally scheduled last year but cancelled at the last minute, is also in this year's line-up.

The bands will perform on four stages set up and spaced out on The Woodlands, a piece of property owned by Dover International Speedway renamed by Firefly organizers and used during NASCAR race weekends for camping.

Like last year, this year's festival will feature a vintage arcade. Tom's Shoes is also returning and fans of the benevolent company will once again be able to design their own shoes. Festival-goers will also be able to sample the Delaware-brewed Firefly Ale, once again being offered by Dogfish Head Brewery. The Vineyard wine garden, camping and luxury "glamping," Hammock Hangout and some enhanced culinary options will also return.

Pre-sale tickets went on sale within a few days of the conclusion of the inaugural Firefly Festival at noon on Tuesday, July 24 and quickly sold out. Advance three-day passes for the second annual music festival were priced at $148, about $30 cheaper than last year's pre-sale price and $70 cheaper than the final three-day pass price.

Three-day passes for the festival will go on sale Thursday, Feb. 21 at noon, EST, for $198. VIP packages for the three-day event will go on sale for $798. Single-day passes will be available again this year but will be released closer to the date of the event. Organizers have not indicated exactly when the single-day passes will go on sale or how much they will be.

Firefly 2012, which drew more than 30,000 guests per day from 48 states between Friday, July 20 and Sunday, July 22, helped significantly impact the Delaware economy as hotels were booked to capacity all weekend long. As soon as 2013 pre-sale passes went on sale last year, many fans sited on Facebook and Twitter that they were already booking rooms and checking out hotel rates. Packed accommodations up and down the state are expected again this year.
