  • Delaware Capitol Police arrested a Newark man accused of calling in a bomb threat recently to the New Castle County Courthouse in Wilmington.
    During its investigation of the March 7 incident, Capitol Police identified James A. Thomas, 53, of Newark as the alleged caller, Delaware Department of Safety and Homeland Security spokeswoman Kimberly Chandler said. On Monday, Capitol police officers arrested Thomas at his residence where he was taken into custody without incident, she said.
    Thomas was charged with terroristic threatening, a felony, and arraigned by videophone at Justice of the Peace Court #2 in Rehoboth Beach. He was held in lieu of $3,000 cash bond and incarcerated at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington.
