  • The deadline for nominations for the Delaware Department of Natural Resources' Young Environmentalist of the Year Awards will be June 14.

  • The deadline for nominations for the Delaware Department of Natural Resources' Young Environmentalist of the Year Awards will be June 14.
    A winner will be chosen from each of the following categories: Elementary for students in grades 1-4; Middle school for students in grades 5-8; High school for students in grades 9-12.
    Students are nominated for demonstrating environmental stewardship, demonstrating environmental ethics, initiating an innovative project, and increasing public awareness. A gift card and a Delaware State Parks prize pack will be awarded to each category winner in recognition of his or her contribution to the community.
    Winners will be honored in a ceremony at the Delaware State Fair on July 25.
