Deputy Leo is back on the beat.
Max Greenfield, who recurred on Veronica Mars for all three seasons, revealed that he will be reprising his role for the cult show's upcoming film.
"I will be there - so will Deputy Leo," Greenfield told Gold Derby during a Google Hangout interview on Tuesday. "I'm really excited about it. It's one of those few occasions where you're going to work on something and I think I'm going there for a day, where you're working on something everybody is so excited to be there. Everybody is going to be going full force on this project and it's going to be like a fun reunion."
Best known for his role as Schmidt on New Girl, Greenfield joins a large roster of returning cast members including Ryan Hansen, Krysten Ritter, Tina Majorino, Sam Huntington, Chris Lowell, Jason Dohring in addition to star Kristen Bell. Bell, and series creator Rob Thomas, launched a Kickstarter fundraising page for the project back in March. It has since raised more than $5 million.
"You want to go in there and do some really solid work because obviously, people put up their own money to see this," Greenfield said. "I think everybody who's playing a part in this thing has a responsibility, which is fun and exciting."
Are you happy Greenfield will be back for the movie? What other cast members do you want to return?
