Robert Lee Moore Jr., 50, of Smyrna, passed away suddenly at his home on June 20, 2013.
Born on September 2, 1962, he was the son of Jacqueline Roe Moore, and the late Robert L. Moore Sr.
A 1980 graduate of Smyrna High School, Bobby was a farmer and commercial waterman, working together with his father for over 30 years. He loved working on the land and the water. Bobby, along with his parents, owned and operated Moore's Picking House, picking ducks and geese for the last 35 years. He enjoyed hunting with his children and friends, and especially loved his hunting trips to Pennsylvania and Canada.
Bobby was predeceased by his father Robert Sr. in 2010, and brother, Keith Douglas Moore, in 1986.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Amy Willis Moore; his son Robert Douglas Moore, daughter Kristen Elizabeth Moore; and grandson Cohen Linden. He is also survived by his uncles Presley E. Moore Jr. and wife Beronica, and William H. Moore, of Smyrna, and W. Michael Roe of Morriston, FL; aunt Patricia Stachecki and husband Raymond, of Smyrna; father-in-law and mother in-law Thomas B. and Nola N. Willis, of Queenstown, MD; several cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and his best friend Billy Harding.
Visitations for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Faries Funeral Home, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, DE from 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by a service in celebration of Bobby's life at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna, DE.
