  • The Smyrna High School FFA was one of six teams that competed in the FFA Forestry Career Development Event held last week at Kent County's Brecknock Park in Camden.

  • The Smyrna High School FFA was one of six teams that competed in the FFA Forestry Career Development Event held last week at Kent County's Brecknock Park in Camden.
    Held in cooperation with the Delaware Department of Agriculture's Forest Service, the event included a test of tree identification skills, forestry tools and knowledge, and math-related abilities.
    The winning team was from Polytech High School in Woodside which will represent Delaware in the event at the National FFA Convention. The other schools that competed were Middletown, Milford, Sussex Central, and Sussex Tech.
