Annette Marie Tiernan-Brown, age 49, of Smyrna, DE, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013.
Annette spent her entire life being involved in the lives of others. While in NJ, she served as a beloved Scout Master for the Boy Scout Troop 368. Annette was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and also AMVETS Post 4. She was especially involved in working with the SPCA to get Delaware to be the first no-kill animal shelter state.
Annette is survived by her husband, Michael Brown; son, Thomas E. Robina and fiancée Annmary Beshara; parents, Edward and Pamela Tiernan; sisters, Julie Peck and husband David with their children Bryden and Zachary, and Lisa Fiorentine and husband Michael with their children Daniel and Eddie; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; her beloved dog, Janie; and a menagerie of other pets.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 5:30-7 p.m., in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Annette's life at 7 p.m.
