Eugenia Lyn "Jeannie" Stump of Dover, DE passed away at her home on Saturday, July 6, 2013.
She was 61.
Mrs. Stump was born February 26, 1952 in Cheyenne, WY, the daughter of the late Jacob Howard Holmes and Wilma Eiler Holmes of Clayton, DE.
She worked for Fifer Farms as an Office Manager from 1978 to 1994 then took a position with DelDot in 1995. Mrs. Stump then went on to work for the Secretary of State in 1997 and the Historical Society in 1998. In 1999, she returned to DelDot and finally retired in January of 2013.
Jeannie enjoyed bowling, painting ceramics, needlework, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dennis A. Stump; a son, DJ Stump (Lane); a daughter, Crystal Custis (Chip); 5 grandchildren, Sydney, Ireland, Roman, Phoenix, and Trey; 6 sisters, Elaine Hak (Steve) of New Jersey, Eleanor Bosen (Harry) of Virginia, Laura Wells (Gary) of Pennsylvania, Evelyn Biro (Jim) of Clayton, DE, Edith Chase (Richard) of Clayton, DE, and Eloise Baber (Joe) of Virginia; 3 brothers, Steve Holmes (Cynthia) of Washington, Stewart Holmes (Maren) of Maryland, and Scott Holmes of Smyrna, DE; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 12 noon.
Burial will be privately held.
