  • Smyrna man arrested on unlawful sexual contact charges

  • Smyrna Police arrested a Smyrna man Aug. 14 following an investigation into allegations he touched a 10-year-old girl in an appropriate manner on two separate occasions in December of 2011 while the girl visited with the man's daughter.
    Victor E. Ucheh, 45, of Locust Drive, was charged with unlawful sexual contact with a person less than 13 years of age, two counts of sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust, second-degree unlawful sexual contact, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
    Ucheh was processed at Smyrna Police Department and presented at Justice of the Peace Court 2 via videophone where he was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of a $9,000 secured bond.
