The Student Centers Programming Advisory Board, a registered student organization at the University of Delaware, will host musician Ed Sheeran this month.
Sheeran is an award-winning English acoustic pop star known for hit singles like "The A Team" and "Lego House." Most recently, he sent teen girls swooning as the opening act for Taylor Swift's 2013 "Red Tour."
SCPAB also booked Kingsfoil as Sheeran's opening act. Kingsfoil features "Malcolm in the Middle" star Frankie Muniz as the drummer as well as vocalist Jordan Davis, guitarist Tristan Martin and bassist Tim Warren.
The concert will take place at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18 at the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware in Newark. Tickets went on sale for UD students on Friday, Aug. 30 for $20 for the first week of sales.
