  • Trash Can Dan and the Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA) is inviting Delaware students grades K-12 to participate in a poster contest.
Students are asked to draw a picture to show how they can help keep Delaware beautiful by recycling. One winner from each grade will be featured on the wall of DSWA's Environmental Education building.
All posters must be drawn on standard 8.5" x 11" white paper; no lined or colored paper will be accepted. Drawings should support the contest theme and should include a title and brief summary of the picture. Pencils, crayons, pens, markers, paints, or chalk may be used; chalk entries should be sprayed to prevent smearing. No three-dimensional entries will be accepted and nothing may be glued, taped, stapled, or attached to the poster. Entries cannot be laminated and photographs will not be accepted.
Each student may submit only one entry. Participants should mail entries to DSWA POSTER CONTEST, 1101 Lambson Lane, New Castle, 19720.
All entries must be postmarked by Nov. 1. Winners will be announced on America Recycles Day, Nov. 15.
