  • Smyrna man arrested for alleged rape of child

  • Dover Police have arrested a Smyrna man for allegedly raping a 7-year-old.
    On Sept. 23 an ongoing investigation by Dover Police led to the arrest of Derek Feamster, 27, of McClain Gardens, after the victim was interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center, police said.
    Feamster was charged with six counts of first-degree rape and two counts of second-degree rape.
    The alleged incident took place in the 900 block of McDowell Drive in Dover, police said.
    Feamster was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $80,000.
