When was the last time you and your dog saved a life? The American Cancer Society is having its first Bark for Life of Smyrna/Clayton on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Big Oak Park just south of Smyrna.

Bark for Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

The walk starts at 9 a.m. American Cancer Society associates are asking local businesses for their support by either being a sponsor, vendor, advertising in the calendar, or making a donation to Bark for Life of Smyrna/Clayton.

All funds raised go to support the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Smyrna/Clayton team.

If you are interested in walking with you dog, the registration fee is $20 per person and $10 per dog. If registration is paid in full on or before Tuesday, Oct. 15, individuals will receive a t-shirt and canines will receive a bandanna. The first 50 dogs to register will receive a goodie bag!
