The KBCPF was founded by Dianne Bingham in 2001, in honor of her daughter, to help people who have been presented with the challenges of physical disabilities. Entering their 13th year, KBCPF is creating a program that will serve as a model for others worldwide. By focusing on meeting the mutual needs of the disabled person and the family, KBCPF's programs strive to prepare its disabled consumers and families to lead more fulfilling lives by making wise choices and by interacting more effectively with others in the community.
The Black Diamond and Llangollen Hope Houses have been specifically designed to encourage greater independence in community living. Black Diamond is home for six adults with developmental disabilities who use wheelchairs and Llangollen is home for four. Many of these residents also have a variety of related disabilities and medical challenges. The Black Diamond Hope House is located at 4966 S. Dupont Parkway, just north of Smyrna.
Vendors wishing to secure a space for the KBCPF Fall Festival Fundraiser are asked to contact Amber Bush 302-359-8327 or e-mail amber@krysti.org.
