When was the last time you and your dog saved a life? American Cancer Society is having their first Bark for Life of Smyrna/Clayton on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Big Oak Park.
Bark for Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.
The walk starts at 9 a.m. American Cancer Society associates are asking local businesses for their support by either being a sponsor, vendor, advertising in the calendar, or making a donation to Bark for Life of Smyrna/Clayton.
All funds raised go to support the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Smyrna/Clayton team.
If you are interested in walking with you dog, the registration fee is $20 per person and $10 per dog. On-site registration is available the day of the event.
Shirts and bandannas will be available on a first-come, first-served basis but if you registered on or before Oct. 15, you are guaranteed a shirt and canines a bandanna. The first 50 dogs to register will receive a goodie bag!
The top 13 fundraising individuals/teams and their canine will be featured in a calendar.
There are still vendor spots available at the event and advertising space available in the calendar. Plus, it's not too late to be a sponsor for the event.
